Designed to permanently seal microplates (assay plates, deep well plates, PCR plates, compound storage plates, etc.) via heat & pressure, ensuring plate contents are sealed for storage, transport, or processing. 

The PlateLoc can be used stand-alone (manual sealing via built-in touchscreen interface) or integrated into a larger automated liquid-handling / robotics workflow (via RS-232 / serial port + ActiveX control). 

It supports a wide range of microplate types: assay plates, deep-well plates, PCR plates, storage plates. There are different plate-stage inserts so that the same instrument can accommodate different plate types. 

Typical cycle / throughput is about ~ 8 seconds per plate.
